Share your expertise, inspire fellow theatre artists, and provide practical tools. Create a workshop that attendees will take back to their own organizations. Together, we can create an educational experience that informs, encourages, and empowers community theatres throughout Minnesota, Region V, the entire United States and beyond.

MACT is looking for workshops for MACT*Fest 2027, which will take place in Grand Rapids, February 18-21. We are looking for up to 12 workshops. They will be presented in four sessions of about 60 to 75 minutes each. Our objective is to have three concurrent workshops in each of the four sessions. The workshops will be presented on the mornings of Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20. We would like a variety of topics (for beginners through advanced) for actors, directors, production staff and administrative/operations staff.

MACT is also hosting the Region V AACTFest April 1-3 in Worthington. We may want a few workshops at that festival, too. Again, the workshops would be held Friday and Saturday mornings. They could be the same workshops offered at MACT*Fest.

AACTFest 2027 will take place in Rochester, Minnesota, June 15–19, 2027, and the AACT Education and Workshops Committees invite you to help create an exceptional educational experience by submitting a workshop proposal. Deadine for submitting a proposal for AACTFest workshops is October 21.

If you are considering presenting a workshop for AACTFest, MACT*Fest would be a good place to do a test run. You could present your workshop at a state, regional and national festival, all without leaving Minnesota.
