We are looking for a high-school aged student to direct our 2027 student-led show!

This MTC project is student-run as much as possible. The student director will work with fellow students to bring a production from idea to stage, with adult artists available as instructors, advisors, and safety support.

Students will:

• Research and propose a script  
• Cast and direct the show  
• Work with student actors from around the region  
• Design and implement the set  
• Run lights/sound  
• Select or create costumes  
• Take an active role in the many creative and production decisions

Adult artists are there to advise, teach, and help ensure a safe production, rather than take over the work. This is a great opportunity for a student who wants hands-on experience directing, collaborating, problem-solving, and creating theatre.

The 2027 student-led show will run the last weekend in August.

MTC has presented a student-led show for four years in a row, and the students involved have had wonderful experiences while bringing some fantastic productions to the stage!
