Of all the industries in the world, it’s safe to say that theatre is one of the more inclusive. We’ve made great strides in representation, accessibility, equality, and equity in the world of theatre… but there’s always more work to be done. It all starts small – in classrooms, theatre education programs, and community theatres.
Here’s a list of the awards presented at MACT*Fest 2025, which was held at the Depot Theatre in Duluth: The two “Best of Fest” shows will represent Minnesota at the Region V AACTFest to be held April 3-5, 2025 at Newton Community Theatre in Newton Iowa. Altos are the backbone of every chorus, the powerhouse belting out those emotional ballads, and the comedic goldmine in those sassy ensemble numbers. Performance session 4 will start at 7:30 pm on Saturday night. It will feature 2 shows: “Trapp’s Last Crepe” and “Finishing School”
Workshop session 4 will start at 10:00 on Saturday morning and offer 3 topics: “Communicating”, “Using a Combat Director” and “End Gun Violence”.
