Our friends at the Playwrights’ Center are hosting a special event that we thought you might be interested in. The information on the event is below.

About the event
Please come to Playwrights’ Center on Monday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. and be a part of Artists in Conversation: The Art of Resilience.
In the past months all eyes have been on Minnesota, as the world watched our communities meeting terror and violence with love and solidarity.
In the heart of the resistance have been many Twin Cities’ theater organizations, whose leaders know how to create networks of care during challenging transitions.
Now some of those leaders will come together at Playwrights’ Center to share how they are meeting this moment and responding to ICE’s presence/activity within the context of their artistic missions–in the words of Nataki Garrett Myers, offering art “not as distraction, but as witness.”
Joining our own Producing Artistic Director Nicole A. Watson will be:
- Sarah Bellamy, President, Penumbra Theatre
- Maija García, Director, Capri Theater
- Signe V. Harriday, Senior Artistic Producing Director, Pillsbury House + Theatre
- Anh Thu T. Pham, Managing Director, Theater Mu
- Mark Valdez, Artistic Director, Mixed Blood Theatre
- Laura Zabel, Executive Director, Springboard for the Art
Reserve your seat now, or sign up for our livestream, to join this rare gathering of local thought leaders in real-time creative collaboration. You’ll see how our vibrant arts ecosystem set the stage for Minnesota’s show of resistance.
