MACT is currently planning a series of workshops to be held next spring in the Twin Cities metro area. Your input is requested regarding the topics to be presented.

Performing arts organizations face many challenges. Changes in community standards and the realities of today’s economy create a daunting environment in which to operate.

Blue should not be worn on stage.

MACT is a statewide, volunteer run organization which holds meetings, workshops, festivals and other events throughout the state of Minnesota.

One of MACT’s newer Board members is Tom Nelson of Cokato. Tom has been active with the FungusAmongus Players since 2008, and currently serves as their Chairman of the Board.

AACT conducts occasional surveys of community theatres to identify trends. It recently released the results of it’s latest survey. Some excerpts on production of musicals are below.

Frank Peot of Wisconsin has retired as AACT’s Secretary after almost 35 year in the position. Frank has adjudicated at and has been the AACT Festival Commissioner for several MACT*Fests.
