In this quirky, heartfelt comedy, Sky sets off on a road trip to honor a dear friend’s final wish. Along the way, unexpected detours, unlikely companions, and tender moments of grief & joy create a witty, touching journey about love, loss, and finding your way forward.
At once hilarious and heart-breaking, this offbeat comedy celebrates a friendship that knows no bounds. Sky is stunned to learn he is the sole beneficiary of his best friend Erin’s estate. But there’s a catch-and it’s a whopper: Sky must conquer his paralyzing anxiety and criss-cross the country in search of the perfect way to dispose of his friend’s remains. Also, Sky must take his friend’s chatty parrot, Bruce, on the trip with him as well as contend with Erin’s overbearing parent who demands a traditional funeral.

Gatsby’s lavish parties hide a singular obsession: rekindling his lost romance with Daisy. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam and Ida. They are guilt-stricken when this nearly breaks Ida’s heart.

With its over-the-top songs and crazy characters, this Minnesota love story with singin’ and stuff will have you laughing until the spring thaw!
Don’t Hug Me takes place in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota. Cantankerous bar owner Gunner Johnson wants to sell the business and move to Florida. Clara, his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, wants to stay. Bernice Lundstrom, the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career. Her fiance, Kanute Gunderson, wants her to stay home. It’s a battle of wills, and when a fast-talking salesman, Aarvid Gisselsen, promises to bring romance into their lives through the “magic” of karaoke, all heck breaks loose!

Victor is a high school ventriloquist, who isn’t very good. Along with his friend, Ian Gorski (Igor for short) they create a new puppet for Victor. With some fancy science experiments, they bring this new creation to life. Can Victor and Igor keep this secret under wraps or will Puppet prove to be too much for them and their friendship to handle?
Frankenfledt is an original play written as a family friendly dark comedy. If you like shows with humor, heart, and some slight creepiness, this is the show for you.

The Minnesota Association of Community Theatres (MACT) is a statewide, volunteer run organization. We hold meetings, workshops, festivals and other events throughout the state of Minnesota.
MACT operates on a two year cycle. In even numbered years we put on FAST*Fest, a non-adjudicated festival of 20-minute plays. In odd numbered years we produce MACT*Fest, which is an adjudicated festival of 60-minute plays which is part of the AACTFest cycle. Along with the performances at our festivals there are workshops and networking events.
